Abstract
The author shows that the evolution of markets and institutions over that past twenty years has spurred the great hunt for risk and prompted monumental improvement in the toolkits available to risk managers. She also profits a successful risk function as a collaborative effort integral to the investment process, rather than a stand-alone or independent oversight imposed on the process. Finally, she offers some insights as to the future of risk management and the implementation of effective programs.
